All travellers should visit there GP of travel health clinic around 4-8 weeks before departure.
Malaria: Malaria precautions are essential for all areas below 1800m as malaria can be serious and sometimes fatal disease transmitted by mosquitoes. Malaria cannot be vaccinated against so other precautions must be taken.

Malaria Precautions:
• Ask your doctor or visit a travel clinic for suitable antimalaria tablets (Atovaquone/proguanil OR doxycycline OR mefloquine is usually recommended)
• Avoid mosquito bites by using mosquito repellent, covering your skin and if necessary sleep under a mosquito net.
Note* If you have been travelling in a malarious area and develop a fever seek medical attention promptly. Remember malaria can develop even up to one year after exposure.
