The country has mean nice beaches, a bustling and entertaining captial city and national parks.
Liberia has suffered many years of civil war and only really since 2006 and the election of Africa's first female president is the country trying to rebuild.
Everyone is optimistic about the future but things remain tense and tourism is severly hampered and often ill advised outside of the capital, Monrovia.
