  • Equatorial Guinea is a small country in West Africa bordering Gabon and Cameroon.
    It has a couple of islands, Bioko and Annobón which have some stunning beaches.

    On the mainland there's the impressive Volcano, Pico Malabo, which many trek up.
    There's also the national park,  Monte Alen, a rainforest with many wildlife including elephants and leopards.

    The country was once governed by Portugal and then later by Spain.
    Today you can still see some Spanish architecture in the capital of Malabo.
    The people of Equatorial Guinea are poor despite the country having lucrative oil and gas.
